GHOSTLINK : Cyberpunk Halloween

  • 404.EX 736 Ponce De Leon Avenue Northeast Atlanta, GA, 30306 United States (map)

We've never been ones to follow the script.

We wanted to do something different this year.

Instead of the usual Halloween fare, we're looking at the horrors unfolding in real time—surveillance states, corporate control, environmental collapse, the merge of humanity and machine in the digital age. This Halloween, we're trading ghosts and goblins for the dystopian future that's already knocking at our door. Welcome to GHOSTLINK.

THE CONCEPT

Cyberpunk emerged in the 1980s as a sci-fi sub-genre imagining a future where high tech meets low life—neon-soaked cities ruled by mega-corporations, where hackers, outcasts, and rebels navigate worlds of artificial intelligence, body modification, and societal decay. It's a vision where technology promised freedom but delivered control.

We grew up watching Skynet turn on humanity, replicants questioning what it means to be human, and The Matrix revealing that reality itself might be a simulation. These weren't just stories—they were warnings. And with AI now generating art, writing code, and making decisions that shape our lives, that future doesn't feel so distant anymore.

For one night, our monthly Power Trip becomes GHOSTLINK—a dystopian bar of the future. Two rooms. Full immersion. We're transforming 404.exe into a world where the line between human and machine blurs, where the future feels both thrilling and terrifying.

COSTUME INSPIRATION

Draw from the classics: Blade Runner, Ghost in the Shell, Akira, The Matrix, Neuromancer, Cyberpunk 2077. Think chrome, leather, tactical gear, LED accents, augmented reality visuals, corporate drones, street samurai, netrunners, androids.

But here's the thing—the theme isn't mandatory. Traditional Halloween? Go for it. The future is filled with all kinds of creatures and characters. Dress however you want. The dystopia has room for everyone.
